My name is Ritika (pronounced Ri-thik-ah). Growing up in different countries, I come from a diverse background but found a place to call home throughout my journey as I discovered storytelling through design and its power to shape our future.

I am creative. I can never seem to stop creating anything. There is always an idea, new picture, or business idea running through my head. I can’t help but see a picture before I see words. I am drawn to color and the beauty around me. I have always been drawn to art and design. Growing up I was constantly in my sketchbook or having some craft happening on the dining room table.

I’ve got one foot in the world of fashion, and one foot in the world of pixels, with love for both. I graduated with a BFA in Fashion Design and a Minor in Economics from the Parsons School of Design. I am passionate about exploring emotional connections through storytelling and sustainable design that includes and protects people.

“My experiences have taught me to be conscious and a critical thinker to find solutions to real-world problems. I got to work at several prominent NYC design firms, such as Alexander Wang and Proenza Schouler, where I honed my creative skills before moving to India to strengthen my roots. I gained a deeper understanding of the production processes and traditional craft. I realized that designers have a long way to go where users and wearers need to be brought at the forefront of design with smart technology integration to improve accessibility.”.

I wake up optimistic and excited about continuing to grow in this rapidly-evolving industry. I want to learn, grow, and connect with people that dream big and believe they can resolve problems, and build creative solutions to positively affect the global community one person at a time.
